In early 2013, a group of entrepreneurs and investors at Ardent Capital were tired of the infrastructure bottleneck their startups were facing when delivering ecommerce to Southeast Asia. 

All players, including the big corporations, shared the desire to bring their brands online but lacked the expertise to get it right, especially in the context of the emerging markets’ infrastructure. The status quo was fragmented, and services and quality were inconsistent.

Plagued with the passion for solving difficult problems, the Ardent Group brought their extensive backgrounds in marketing, technology, operations and finance to incubate a business model. Enter aCommerce, a one-stop shop service model that plugged the gaping holes the Southeast Asian market presented. 

They spent months developing a fully integrated order management system (OMS) and warehouse management system (WMS) with their own warehousing and delivery. They began testing and fulfilling end-to-end ecommerce services for startups. 

They scaled and perfected their model with four clients, who were looking to break into the region and launch ecommerce. It was a huge success and in May 2013, aCommerce was officially born.
